InfoSAWIT, BELITUNG TIMUR – To celebrate Indonesia’s independence-day, PT Sahabat Mewah dan Makmur (SMM), the subsidiary of PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk. (ANJ) did pekan kreasi anak at Club House SMM. It was the event for hundreds of the workers’ children to be more creative and developing their self-potential with happiness and togetherness.

Pekan kreasi anak on 14 August 2024 had series of fun activities that was arranged to get the children’s creativity, such as, coloring, number one – rank, and junior got talent. The chidren from kindergarten to junior schools, were very enthusiastic. Every contest was arranged to deliver educational experience and entertaining, such as, fun coloring, number one – rank that tested their knowledge, and junior got talent contest that became the stage for them to show up their art talent.

General Manager SMM, Mukhlisuddin Nasution emphasized the pekan kreasi anak was not just a competition but also the way of the company to develop the children around its operation. “Pekan kreasi anak was conducted by gender committee and it was the time for them to get socialization, learn from their friend to develop their talents in many segments. These are the same with the company’s goals, for instance, to increase the children’s welfare around the company’s plantations,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Saturday (17/8/2024).

Nasution hoped the event would trigger their spirit to learn, do more, be creative and get self-confidence in the early age. “We want them to grow up to be the generations within quality and prepared to face the future challenges,” he said.

Chairman of Gender Committee of SMM, Suchi Anugrah Aini also said that the company really support to the children’s progress. “The roles of a mother would be significant to develop the children. By this event, we would like to deliver space for them to show up their talents,” she said.

Pekan kreasi anak would not be a competition only but also the valuable moment for them to share and learn together. The winners namely in junior got talent, had the chance to show up in the company’s event. Last year, the winner of junior got talent got the chance to show up in gala dinner strategic session that ANJ Group did conduct. It was a kind of reward to show that SMM was seriously supporting the children’s talents and potential. (T2)
