InfoSAWIT, EAST ACEH– The independent smallholders in Gampong Seumanah Jaya significantly faced big challenges and got decreasing production because of the late fertilization activity. This happened for the bad production way and never got maintenance or improved for tens of years.
Chairman of Kelompok Tani (Poktan) Bela Rakan, Sulaiman said they had no fund to improve the way. “Alhamdulillah, we are developed by Chairman of Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) Aceh, Abubakar AR, and General Secretary of SPKS East Aceh, Syafruddin. We would propose to improve the production way, the harvest path, and others for the independent smallholders that joined the group,” he said to InfoSAWIT , Wednesday (7/8/2024). Sulaiman said that the plantation data and map in Gampong Seumanah Jaya is still running. “We also get online Infrastructure Application today, Wednesday, 7 August 2024," he said
Abubakar AR would be ready to develop the group in many things, such as, the proposal and the measurement. “Insya Allah, if the online terms and conditions in the application have been provided, including the candidates of participants and candidates of areas from East Aceh Plantation Agency, we would meet the chairman of infrastructure team at hall C, General Directorate of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture to get technical recommendation that would be signed by General Directorate of Plantation, Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency and the coordinators of Poktan Bela Rakan," he said
He would be optimist that the technical recommendation would be published by the midst of September 2024 if the smallholders qualified the application based on the Decision of General Director of Plantation Number 273 / 2020 about Infrastructure Proposal. “Insya Allah, I am convinced the officials in the directorate would help us,” he said.
The development and support would deliver solution for the infrastructure issues that blocked palm oil production in Gampong Seumanah Jaya, and would escalate the smallholders’ welfare in the regency, (T2)
