InfoSAWIT, TEXAS - Neste, a global scale renewable energy company delivered announcement that it operated the capacity in the new terminal, ONEOK di Houston, Texas to mix and storage Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel™ (SAF). This significantly meant to expand SAF Neste for airline companies that operated in the ports of eastern Rocky Mountains to eastern cost of the United States of America (USA).

The new capacity of ONEOK would be up to 100.000 tons (about 33,5 million gallons) and directly connecting with energy pipe in the eastern USA. Neste reinforced its position as the main SAF supplier for airlines in the regions.

In 2022, Neste showed up its capability to supply SAF to LaGuardia Port, New York by using available fuel distribution infrastructure. In September 2023, Neste expanded its ability to operate terminal capacity in Los Angeles, California to serve the costumes in western coast.

“Neste is committed to support USA airlines in decarbonization. The capability expansion in SAF supply is in cooperation with the partners, such as, ONEOK in the whole fuel supply chain. This is our commitment,” Alexander Kueper, Vice President of Renewable Airlines Business at Neste, said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from biofuels-news.com.

He also mentioned this would be the strong base to support the state policy, the federal, and the local in the USA.

Greg Lusardi, Senior Vice President of Development in ONEOK said,” ONEOK is excited to provide energy products that the world is in need while always does innovation for the future. As the valuable partner to significantly provide energy for airlines, we are proud of taking advantages on our wide infrastructure to facilitate the progress in sustainable fuel markets,” he said.

The expansion would reflect the sustainable efforts of Neste to reinforce its supply chain and support airlines to realize decarbonization. By having the better infrastructures, Neste is ready to fulfill the increasing sustainable aviation fuel in USA and would support the transition heading to more sustainable airlines. (T2)
