Vice President Candidate of Congo Donated GHC 50.000 for Fire Victims in Palm Oil Mill

InfoSAWIT, GHANA – On Wednesday (3/7/2024) Vice President Candidate of Congo from National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang donated GHC 50.000 (equal to Rp 53,5 million) for the female that got the impacts from the fire in April in palm oil mill in New Tafo, North Abuakwa. Prof. Opoku-Agyemang handed over the help on behalf of NDC Flag Barrier, Mr. John Mahama.

The fire destroyed thousands of gallons of palm oil including the mill. It would have issues for 100 producers and female that worked in the mill.

As InfoSAWIT quoted from modernghana.com, during her visit to Abuakwa Utara in the eastern of the area on Wednesday, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang did visit and have empathy for the female that was hit by the fire. She encouraged them to re-construct their lives back.

The donation would be used as the fund to re-construct the mill. She hoped the donation would help relieve their misery that got the impacts.

Miss Elizabeth Amponsah, the leader of palm oil mill appreciated Mahama and Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for the support. She assumed, the fire in the mill might had something to do with the latest power outage and NDC, even though it is the opposite, supported them for the incident. (T2)
