AHY: The Regions Should Go Forward Together

InfoSAWIT, PALANGKARAYA – The 7th Borneo Forum was officially inaugurated by Minister of Agrarian Affairs/National Land Agency (MAF/NLA), Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY). In his speech, AHY said that to realize the people’s welfare, it would not the responsibility and work of the government only but also of every element, including the business.

AHY said the national scale development orientation in the future should be from many priorities. Neven ever leave the human resource development behind. “That is why superior human resource capacity and quality should be developed in a whole. There should be no word ‘in sector’ both among the regions, should go forward together. There is no left behind between the central and regional governments,” AHY said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from offficial page of Central Kalimantan Province, Saturday (29/6/2024).

Meanwhile, Governor of East Kalimantan, H. Sugianto Sabran said in the forum which was conducted at Swiss Belhotel Danum Palangka Raya hoped that big private companies could deliver welfare for the people and make the province go forward.

He also emphasized the forum would be strategic to reinforce the strategy among stakeholders to escalate palm oil industrial governance to also deliver the positive for the companies, governments, and the people.

“Central Kalimantan Province is committed to support the good investment climates including in pam oil plantation sectors that become one mainstay economic commodity nationally and regionally,” Sugianto said.

He also said one support from the province would be about to facilitate Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certification for big companies that operate as the pre-condition to do export activities. Besides the province also encourage the companies that have other utilization areas but do not have business rights (BR) to get BR with the note, they did not operate in forest areas.

It means Governor Suginato would hope the palm oil big private companies in the province would deliver welfare for the people and make the province go forward. (T2)
