Palm Oil Exports from Indonesia Decreased in China, Bangladesh, and Pakistan

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) reported that palm oil export volume from March to April decreased in China as the biggest one, that reached from 447 thousand tons to be 315 thousand tons.

It also happened in India from 456 thousand tons to be 332 thousand tons, Bangladesh from 162 thousand tons to be 67 thousand tons, Pakistan from 270 thousand tons to be 182 thousand tons, and Netherland from 169 thousand tons to be 108 thousand tons. 

Export volume got increased in April happened in United States of America (USA) from 129 thousand tons to be 193 thousand tons, Spain from 38 thousand tons to be 70 thousand tons and Italy from 67 thousand tons to be 84 thousand tons.

Executive Director of IPOA, Mukti Sardjono said that in year on year (YoY) to April 2024 to 2023, the exports to Pakistan got escalated 68,49% to be 741 thousand tons to 440 thousand tons in 2023, India also got increased 3,62% to be 1,223 thousand tons to 1,180 thousand tons in 2023.

“While China in YoY to April 2024 got decreased 4,2% to 2023, Europe got decreased 3% and USA did too 1,16%,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Tuesday (25/6/2024).

It means, the April 2024 reached 3.300 thousand tons for crude palm oil (CPO); palm kernel oil (PKO) production reached 4.115 thousand tons; the consumption in this country reached 1.893 thousand tons and the exports reached 2.178 thousand tons, the final stock by April 2024 became 3.741 thousand tons or got escalated about 13,36 % to March 2024 stock.
