InfoSAWIT, BANDA ACEH – 30 students that got palm oil scholarhip at Diploma III Mekatronika Program Study at Politeknik Aceh joined teaching program in machine workshop of SMK Negeri 2, Banda Aceh, Thursday, 16 May 2024. It was initiated by Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology with the goal, the students from vocation, particularly ‘politeknik’ should be ready in the work field.
The teaching program encourages active collaboration between experts and lecturers in the vocation university, creates deeper skill and science exchange among the former students and professionals in the world of work. The students participated in the practice subject ‘CAD/CAM’ in palm oil industry that was delivered by Ir. Mahmud, S.Tr., M.T. and collaboration practitioner - Ir. Zulham, S.T., M.T., IPM, ASEAN. Eng., an advance machine expert in Aceh Province.
Director of Politeknik Aceh, Dr. Hilmi, SE., M.Si., Ak, CA, said that the program would be the start to cover up the gap of competence among the graduate candidates in Politeknik Aceh with the needs in the world of work, particularly in palm oil industries. “Teaching program would be the start to cover up the gap of competence among the graduate candidates in Politeknik Aceh with the needs in the world of work particularly in palm oil industries,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday, 17 May 2024.
One student that got the scholarship in 2023, Suhardion said the the program would be the new breakthrough that would enable them to practice, learn and see in person how to work in palm oil industries and would implement what they learned for the past two semesters in the campus. “It could escalate our spirit to learn more,” he said.
Learning practitioner, Ir. Zulham said that for the past two days, the student learnt much about their experience in palm oil industry, the introduction how to make manufacture, spare – parts used in palm oil industries, use computer aided manufacturing (CAM). “The students learned much in palm oil industries, knew how to make manufacture, and spare-parts used in palm oil industries by using CAM,” he said.
