InfoSAWIT, PALANGKA RAYA – Central Kalimantan Plantation Agency played significant roles to enliven the 2024 Central Kalimantan Expo or Kalteng Expo 2024 that would be running at Temanggung Tilung Palangka Raya from 11 to 15 May 2024.
Kalteng Expo would be the annual event and part of the celebration of Central Kalimantan estabilishment the 57th. It would be one thing to support Program Nasional Bangga Buatan Indonesia (BBI) and Bangga Berwisata di Indonesia (BBWI).
As one institution that actively encourages the people’s economic progress in plantation sectors, Central Kalimantan Plantation Agency also displayed superior products, such as, palm oil, cocoa, coffee, and coconut.
Head of Plantation Agency Central Kalimantan Province, Rizky R. Badjuri said that the exhibition would be about to escalate the farmers and smallholders’ welfare and trigger to develop plantation cultivation in the province.
“We keep delivering attention, roles to the farmers and smallholders’ institutions, encouraging and motivating them to develop their businesses,” Rizky said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of Central Kalimantan Province, Monday (13/5/2024).
He also explained that one mainstay product displayed is cocoa. Rizky said, cocoa would significantly contribute to develop plantation sectors in a relatively short time in the province. This is equal with other superior commodities, such as, palm oil, coconut, and coffee. The positive trend in cocoa development would be known in Regency of Barito Utara, Barito Selatan, Barito Timur, and Murung Raya.
In this context, Kalteng Expo 2024 should play its roles as the educational exhibition for others to minimize unemployment level by escalating work potential and entrepreneurship, particularly in plantation sectors.
By delivering educative and promotion activities in Kalteng Expo 2024, there would be new chances for work seekers in the province to get involved in plantation sectors which eventually to be positive for the economic and welfare progress for the local. (T2)
