InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In the 2024 National Education – Day, Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 15 Training Institutions to encourage, escalate quality and productivity in palm oil plantation industries in Indonesia.

The training institutions are in Indonesia, for instance, PT. LPP Agro Nusantara in Yogyakarta, PT. Global Scholarship Service (IPB Training) in Bogor, Akademi Komunitas Perkebunan Yogyakarta, and others.

Director of PFMA, Eddy Abdurrachman fully supported the trainings and approved to provide fund about Rp 84 billion. There would be 11 kinds of trainings to be informed and delivered for 6.437 participants in 14 palm oil producer provinces in Indonesia.

He also emphasized that palm oil plantation human resource development program would be an important initiative. “The program would escalate not only plantation productivity but also confirm that palm oil industries in Indonesia are sustainably developing,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of PFMA, Monday (6/5/2024).

The challenges to realize the 2030 target nationally, such as, increasing crude palm oil (CPO) production up to 60 million tons would be very possible. It needs the supports by developing palm oil plantation human resources to escalate their knowledge, skills, professionalism, independency of planters, and other palm oil plantation societies.

The event was also attended by Chairman of Palm Oil Mill Human Resource Development Committee, Darmansyah Basyaruddin and said that it would be very important to get coordination among training institutions, PFMA, General Directorate of Plantation and other related agencies in the regions.

Head of Service Program Division PFMA, Arfie Thahar ended the event by delivering speech about preparation, implementation, and responsibility about the trainings. It would be conducted in phase for about six months since April 2024. (T2)
