CEC: Sealed Palm Oil Mill and Luxurious House of Non-active Regent of Labuhanbatu

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Corruption Eradication Commission (CEC) firmly eradicates corruption by sealing the assets that might belong to non-active Regent of Labuhanbatu, Erik A Ritonga (EAR). The institution sealed palm oil mill and a luxurious house. The mill is in Kelurahan Janji, Sub district of Bilah Barat, Regency of Labuhanbatu that reached up to Rp 15 billion.

Head of Information, CEC, Ali Fikri said that the mill would be in operational test. It is assumed that the mill was constructed from the bribe that EAR and his men did.

“Seal rope was set up to conform that the status of the assets would be preventing any party to claim them. Every witness would be analyzed and confirmed (for the next process),” Ali said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from inews.id, Thursday (2/5/2024).

Besides the mill, CEC also sealed a luxirous house in the City of Medan, North Sumatera Province. It is assumed that the regent has it by getting bribe. Ali Fikri predicted the house could be about Rp 5,5 billion.

The seal would be part of CEC to eradicate corruption and serve the law. CEC suggested the sealed assets should not be misused during the investigation runs and confirm that the seal was set up to prevent claims from other certain parties. (T2)
