InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Just like the old days, the development to Sumber Daya Manusia Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit (SDMPKS) would be conducted in 2024. One main initiative was scholarship that was officially announced by General Directorate of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture Number B-1914/SM.120/E.5/04/2024 on 1 April 2024.
The official documents to InfoSAWIT noted that General Directorate of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture with the supports from Palm Oil Plantation Fund Mangement Agency, would get scholarship selection registration of SDMPKS in 2024 online through the official website at https://www.beasiswasdmsawit.id/.
"The scholarship registration would start on 5 April to 24 May 2024," the document noted.
The scholarship program would be for, the first, planters; the second, families (children/husband/wife) of a planter; the third, employers/workers in cultivation business and/or palm oil plantation industries; the fourth, families (children/husband/wife) in cultivation business and/or palm oil plantation industries; the fifth, coordinators, members of unions or institutions that manage cultivation business, industries, and/or palm oil plantation services; and the sixth, government’s officers that deal with palm oil plantation sectors.
In 2024, the scholarship quota available would be for 3.000 men with the educational level starting from Diploma 1, Diploma 2, Diploma 3, Diploma 4, and undergraduate. The program would involve 23 universities/educational institutions that PFMA decided to conduct the program. They are in many provinces in Indonesia, such as, Aceh, North Sumatera, West Sumatera, Riau, Jambi, West Java, Yogyakarta, Central Java, South Sulawesi, and West Papua.
The scholarship program would deliver chances not only in education for individuals directly involve in palm oil industries but also indicate the commitment of the government to develop qualified human resources in this sector. It is also hoped that by having educational investment, palm oil industries in Indonesia would be developing sustainably and delivering economic and social advantages for the people. (T2)
