
InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani and General Attorney, ST Burhanuddin declared corruption assumption in press conference in the hall of Attorney, Jakarta, Monday (18/3) that involved four big companies.
Head of Public Relation, The Attorney, Ketut Sumedana said, the four big companies operated in palm oil, coal, nickel and shipping. The initials are RII, SMS, SPV, and PRS. The corruption assumption could be reaching Rp 2.505.119.000.000.
Minister of Finance, Sri Mulyani told the four companies became debitors in Lembaga Pembiayaan Ekspor Indonesia (LPEI), an institution that the government established to support export finance in national scale. In the audit process that involved Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP), Inspektorat Keuangan Kementerian Keuangan, and the Attorney, it was indicated a crime from the debtors.
As InfoSAWIT quoted from BBC, Sri Mulyani also told the government established team from the three instances to investigate every credit issue LPEI. The research team found four debtors have outstanding loans up to Rp 2,5 trillion.
Burhanuddin promised that his institution would follow up the report. The corruption assumption about credit facility to the companies has been detected since 2019 but it was recently reported after getting enough evidences. The case has been handed over to Special Crime to get asset recovery process and their status would be sentenced after having series of investigation by the Attorney. (T2)
