InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - There would be two big agenda for Dida Gardera, they are, about to publish the new Indonesian sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) regulation; and realize smallholders replanting program (SRP).
By the late of October 2023, Coordinator Minister in Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, inaugurated Dida Gardera as II Deputy Coordinator Minister in Food and Agribusiness Coordination. He replaced Musdhalifah Machmud who is now as coordinator minister expert staff.
It means, Dida is hoped to continue the government’s strategic programs particularly about finalizing new ISPO regulation, and escalating smallholders’ palm oil plantation productivity through SRP.
In his official statement, Dida Gardera is committed to confirm that new ISPO would be published immediately. It could be by the late of this year or new year 2024. Besides, he would focus on SRP realization target to be more than 300 thousand hectares by hoping that there would be additional numbers in the future.
“Until now, SRP covered 300 thousand hectares and next year, SRP minimally covered another 300 thousand hectares,” he recently said to InfoSAWIT in Jakarta.
He told that it needs coordination with Ministry of Environment and Forestry and Ministry of Agrarian Affaris/ National Land Agency to smooth SRP implementation. There was evaluation of regulation in realizing SRP. The output is that the phases get minimized from seven processes to be two process to escalate efficiency and time.
According to what InfoSAWIT searched for, before in his position, Dida Gardera got much and many experiences in economy and environment. He was the expert staff in connectivity, service development and natural resource; delivering technical recommendation about strategic issues in connectivity, service development, and natural resources for coordinator minister.
