InfoSAWIT, MANADO – Politeknik LPP Yogyakarta and Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency did Micro Small and Medium Business (MSMB) Empowerment Workshop in Palm Oil – Base in Manado. It was part of Politeknik LPP Yogyakarta to keep introducing and developing palm oil downstream products in Indonesia.

It was at Grand Whiz Megamas Manado, Friday, 23 February, attended by MSMB participants in Manado. They got knowledge about products made of palm oil, such as, chances, challenges, and product marketing model.

Director of Politeknik LPP represented by Chief of Manager Operational (CMO) Unit Business Development Unit, Politeknik LPP, Hartini said that the products and palm oil wastes would have big potential to get additional values. “Even in many regions where palm oil plantations do not develop. This showed that palm oil processes could be qualified MSMB products if they are well processed,” she said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of LPP Yogyakarta, Tuesday (5/3/2024).

Meanwhile, CEO Business Development Unit, Politeknik LPP, Fitria Nugraheni Sukmawati also emphasized the same. Palm oil process and its waste could be more economical added values if they are well processed.

It was attended by local official, such as, Assistant II Economy and Development Manado City Secretariat, Atto Bulo; and Head of Cooperation and SMB Agency, Manado City, Tony Mamahit, and the officers.

Though Manado City has no palm oil plantations, the workshop delivered chances for local MSMB actors to understand the benefits from palm oil and its derivative products. It was told by Helmi Muhansyah, Head Division of MSMB, PFMA who also attended the event. It was about to promote and market palm oil and its derivative products in MSMB scale.
