To Accelerate Palm Oil Traceability, RSPO Developed CTTS System

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) keeps leading the innovations to map new regions and digitalize palm oil traceability system through (Certification, Trade, and Traceability System (CTTS). Being launched in October 2023, the system was developed through tripartite consortium that involve agricultural technology experts globally.

The goals of the system would be about to deliver best solution to support, encourage sustainable palm oil practices, qualify nowadays condition; and anticipate the future development. RSPO would actively involve in with European Commission, share knowledge, science with every related party, and proactively respond the closer regulations in the world, such as, European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

Aryo Gustomo, Director Assurance RSPO mentioned that the system would ensure every accurate information needed in sustainable palm oil practices. It would cover data of plantation locations, plantation blocks, and credit transaction. The devise was designed to develop more complete accurate data to solve nowadays challenges.

“The system would also cover many aspects and has been running for a couple of months. We identified the needs that should be put into the system and in cooperation with every software programmer to develop its form and how it works,” Aryo said in a press conference in Jakarta by the late of November 2023.

RSPO would deliver significant contribution to escalate transparency and traceability in palm oil supply chain as same as its commitment to get sustainable palm oil practices go forward in many (producer) countries.

“We identified what the needs were to be put into the tools and we keep cooperating with software programmer to know its form and the work system would be always developed,” he said. (T2)
