Apical: Develops Downstream Sector by Investing US$ 1 Million in Dumai

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Apical Group, a company that operates palm oil downstream products revealed its ambitious plan in 2024 to escalate market penetration and get wider collaboration. One of its main focus is to get more partners of distributors in Java Island while getting new distribution regions out of Java. This is hoped to reinforce its network and support economic progress locally.

Prior, to support industrialization program of the Government of Indonesia, Apical Group – the advance vegetable oil company, particularly in palm oil, announce to get significant expansion by investing 1 million American dollars in Dumai that started by the late of 2021. The investment was about to escalate additional value of the product. This is the same with the vision of Indonesia to make downstream sectors go forward.

“The investment is the strategy of Apical to support the vision of the Government of Indonesia to escalate additional value from palm oil industries. We do believe that by having downstream industry, we would significantly contribute to the economy, create employments, and support micro, small, medium business (MSMB) nationally,” Head of Government and Industry Relations Apical Group, Manumpak Manurung said in media meet-up that Apical conducted and InfoSAWIT attended, Tuesday (20/2/2024) in Jakarta.

Besides, Apical Group planned to conduct series of baking demo sustainably. This would involve not only MSMB, regional governments, and other food industries in Java Island but would be in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. This would be strategic thing to expand its track nationally, reinforce partnership with many stakeholders in Indonesia.

Apical Group also emphasized its commitment to get independent demo that would be focused in Java Island. This showed the concrete effort to reinforce market penetration in strategic regions for the company’s business. It managed efficient price decision to main the company’s competition in the markets that get more competitive.

Market Development Manager Apical Group, George Tjiptamustika said that in 2023, Apical collaborate with many stakeholders from the local governments, the companies operating food industries, and MSMB. By the collaboration with MSMS, Apical hoped to help, enliven MSMB in food industries, and even reinforce the images of Apical brand, namely Vitas, Medalia, and Frybest. The collaboration with MSMB locally would deliver chances for the people, to explore kinds of food creations from Apical products.

In the 2024 targets, George said, one would be about to escalate numbers of distributor partners in Java as the focus and open new regions out of Java.

“We would do many baking demonstrations sustainably by collaborating with MSMB, regional governments, and other food industries, not only in Java, but also in Sumatera, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi,” he said.

The company targeted to get independent demo that would be focused in Java this year. “The last is that we would get efficient price decision to be more competitive,” George said. (T2)
