
InfoSAWIT, BEKASI – In the commemoration day of Hari Sawit Nasional, young generations in Indonesia united to reinforce their roles in escalating smallholders’ palm oil plantation productivity and socializing the advantages of palm oil for the country. Generation (Gen) Z did it as their commitment of the youth to actively participate in sustainable development and support palm oil sector in this country.
The event started in a same discussion. Gen Z shared their experiences and ideas about how they would positively contribute in palm oil industries. In the enthusiastic spirit, there was collaboration among generations to formulate new innovations that would positively deliver impacts for the smallholders in this country.
Chairman of Forum Pemuda Sawit Indonesia (FPSI), Hendro Katiko took every young generation to develop innovations and solution which are environmental, confirm that every step taken should respect the nature and deliver long-term advantages.
“With the spirit of creativity and courage, we can prove that economy can develop in the same time with environmental conservation,” he said as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Sunday (19/11/2023).
Hendro also encouraged that the smallholders are important for Gen Z with many backgrounds of profession and skills. Through the spirit of entrepreneur and care for the environment, Gen Z should contribute to sustainably develop, particularly in palm oil sector that becomes the backbone of economy nationally.
“The commemoration of Hari Sawit Nasional this year should not be a celebration only but also the call to sustainable develop for the next generations together,” he said. (T2)
