General Director of Plantation, Andi Nur Alam Syah said that it is significant to have collaboration with PTPN. This would be the key to face every raising challenge in palm oil plantation cultivation

“I would be very happy to collaborate with PTPN because we are in the same frequency to improve palm oil plantation governance,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of Ministry of Agriculture, Wednesday (15/11/2023).

Though its governance goes forward, Andi Nur emphasized that it needs to maintain and develop every available regulation. “Palm oil plantation governance is good enough but we have to maintain, develop and keep doing changes so that the future plantations would go forward and develop, get increasing additional values, and be more competitive,” he said.

It needs to have research and innovation to reinforce plantation sectors. The government would need the supports from stakeholders to be in synergy and maintaining the commitment to realize sustainable palm oil plantations in Indonesia, and improve policies to be integrated and right on targets,” he said.

Developing the best research would help the government and plantation industries to understand the challenges. Besides, research would be the base to get innovation to escalate efficiency and productivity in palm oil plantations.

The collaboration with PTPN would be the right one to get support from the private sectors. PTPN, as the government’s company in plantation sector, would really contribute to improve. In this context, PTPN would be not only the strategic partner but also be the active agent of change.

Besides, other stakeholders would be important to create strong synergy. The support from the people, academy, and others, would be the strong foundation to maintain the commitment on improving palm oil plantation governance.

It is important to develop palm oil plantations sustainably to reflect that it is important to renew the regulations.
