InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Director of Finance PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk., (ANJ), Nopri Pitoy explained that the company got income about USD 176,7 million in the first nine months of 2023 (9M2023), decreased 12,5% compared to the same period las year. This happened for the cheaper average selling price of crude palm oil (CPO), palm kernel (PK)), and palm kernel oil (PKO). The net profits of ANJ decreased to be USD 80,2 thousand in 9M2023 from US$ 21,0 million in the same period last year. But in the quarter side, the net profits of the company positively developed.
“For quarter comparison, we got net profits about US$ 5,1 million in the third quarter 2023. That was very good. In the second quarter the company got net losses about US$ 1,1 million. The increasing net profits happened for the better production and sale in the third quarter and got net profit margin about 8,2% or escalated from -1,7% in the second quarter 2023,” Nopri said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Wednesday (1/11/2023).
But the decreasing income was balanced with the increasing fresh fruit bunch (FFB) production that reached 5,8% to be 654.997 MT compared to the same period last year that reached 619.311 MT.
The increasing FFB production was from the plantations in Belitung Island that reached 185.698 MT because many productive plants which derived from replanting program. The productive plants in Papua Barat Daya contributed FFB production about 91.228 MT in total or escalated 13,0% compared to the same period last year. It also happened for the increasing productive plants and improving ways, and infrastructures.
By 30 September 2023, ANJ got its progress for is commitment to develop plasma program by multiplying plasma plantations about 716 hectares (ha) from the main plantations in Papua Barat Daya for plasma unions. The total plasma plantations allocated in there would lay on 1.618 ha. Besides, the increasing FFB production happened in the plantations of the company in West Kalimantan and South Sumatera. (T2)
