InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) reference price to decide Out Fee (OF) and tariff on Public Service Obligation Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) or known as Export Levy on 1 – 15 November 2023 would be US$ 748,93/metric ton (MT).
The numbers escalated US$ 8,26 or 1,11 percent from last period on 16 — 31 October 2023 that was US$ 740,67/MT. It is written on the Decision of Minister of Trade Number 1831 / 2023 about Crude Palm Oil Reference Price that is charged on Out Fee and Tariff on Public Service Obligation Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) on 1 — 15 November 2023.
Besides, palm cooking oil (refined, bleached, and deodorized/RBD palm olein) in branded packaged and within net weigh ≤ 25 kg would have OF 0/MT with the brands decision listed in the Decision of Minister of Trade Number 1832 / 2023 about Brand Lists of Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized (RBD) Palm Olein in Branded Packages and with the weigh ≤ 25 Kg.
“Now CPO reference price is far from the threshold which is US$ 680/MT. according to the regulation of minister of finance (RMF), the government decided CPO OF would be US$ 18/MT and CPO levy would be US$ 75/MT on 1 — 15 November 2023,” General Director of Foreign Trade Ministry of Trade, Budi Santoso said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Thursday (2/11/2023).
CPO OF on 1–15 November 2023 refers to Colom Number 3, Attachment letter C RMF Number 39/PMK/0.10/2022 juncto (jo.) Number 71 / 2023 which is US$ 18/MT. While CPO levy on 1 – 15 November 2023 refers to Attachment letter C RMF Number 103/PMK.05/2022 jo. 154/PMK.05/2022 which is USD 75/MT. The total of the two would be US$ 93/ton.
“The increasing CPO reference price happened for some factors, such as, the increasing demands namely from China, the decreasing Malaysian ringgit towards US dollar and increasing crude oil in the world,” Budi said. (T2)
