PTPN Holding Granted Mini Mill Research Laboratory to Reinforce Students’ Skills of IPB

 InfoSAWIT, BOGOR – PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) is now concentrating its attention to develop red palm oil by having innovation to develop mini palm oil. To get red palm oil which is full of beta carotene, the government and PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) planned to develop mini palm oil in a one thousand hectare – area.

Director of PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero), Mohammad Abdul Ghani said it when receiving award from Faculty of Agriculture, Institut Pertanian Bogor (IPB). The award was the appreciation for the grant to develop mini mill research laboratory in Kebun Pendidikan dan Penelitian Kelapa Sawit (KPPS) IPB in Jonggol, West Java Province.

“Mini mill is about to process and produce red palm cooking oil within high beta carotene to prevent stunting case in children,” Abdul said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT recently.

As the alumnus of Faculty of Agriculture IPB, Abdul Ghani really hoped that the laboratory would escalate the students’ skill of IPB and he is optimist that the graduate from IPB would be ready to work at palm oil industries, including in PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero).

What he and his team got in PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) needs appraisal. Since he led the company by the late of 2019, the Enterprises company that got losses now turns to deliver profits. The success would deliver new hope for palm oil industries in Indonesia.

Meanwhile, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture, IPB, Suryo Wiyono told that the award and appreciation on what Abdul Ghani and PT Perkebunan Nusantara III (Persero) did to educational world

Suryo thought, Abdul Ghani really pays attention to education by delivering grant development to mini mill laboratory research. KPPS Jonggol served more than 200 students every year. It becomes the research object for other countries in the world.

“We are about to get same research with researchers from Wageningen University and Research Netherland to take advantages on waste to produce biogas,” Suryo said. (T2)
