InfoSAWIT, PONTIANAK – Palm oil stakeholder in West Kalimantan Province did meeting to coordinate and evaluate fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price decision team that smallholders produced. It was on Tuesday, 17 October 2023, inaugurated by Assistant II in Economy and Development West Kalimantan Secretariat, Ignasius.
The goal of the meeting was about to confirm the good coordination among the central government, regional governments (province and district), and other related stakeholders about the implementation of Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 01 / 2018 and the Regulation of Governor Number 86 / 2022. Besides, it was about to evaluate the realizations from every available regulation.
As InfoSAWIT quoted from the official facebook of West Kalimantan Plantation and Livestock Agency, one major point that was evaluated in the meeting was the implementation of Regulation of Governor Number 86 / 2022 that has been implementing since February 2023. There would be three major changes from the previous regulation. The first, price decision would be online to confirm efficiency and transparency in the process.
The second, FFB price decision would be four times in a month to deliver clarity for smallholders. The third, there would be administrative sanctions by the provincial government to deliver legal certainty and encourage obedience to every available regulation.
The meeting was attended by some stakeholders, such as, the representatives of General Directorate of Plantation, regional agencies in the province, chairman of verification team that proposed K index and FFB price from districts to represent in equal and wide scale.
Not only that many representatives from mills and palm oil associations, such as, Indonesian Palm Oil Association, Asosiasi Petani Kelapa Sawit Indonesia (Apkasindo), Apkasindo Perjuangan, Asosiasi Petani Sawit (Aspekpir), Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS), and Asosiasi Petani Sawit Sejahtera Indonesia (Aspesi) actively played their roles in the meeting.
