Helped by Palm Oil, Plantation Exports Reached 12,91 Percent

InfoSAWIT, TANGERANG – General Director of Plantation Ministry of Agriculture, Andi Nur Alamsyah said that plantation sectors successfully be the biggest contributor in agriculture that reached 93,20 percent or the transaction reached Ro 209,4 trillion.

"Plantation contributed to exports up to 12,91 percent nationally. This showed that plantation exports are one source of exchange that should be always escalated. The increasing plantation commodities in this year are from palm oil, rubber, cocoa, coconut, and coffee,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT..

For information, the second Perkebunan Expo (Bunex) 2023 involved 123 participants that consist of 67 micro, small, and medium business, and 56 Enterprises, private sectors, and association. They operate in seed producers, technology infrastructures, equipment and machines in plantations.

Besides, it was showing the launching of independent organic mill that would be constructed around smallholders’ palm oil plantations, and the launching of downstream industry – essential oil, and technology exhibition.

“We would conduct plantation meeting in national scale, get talk show, focus group discussion, investment forum, demonstration of plantation machines and equipment, and others. We hope everything would reinforce our economy nationally,” Andi Nur Alamsyah said. (T2)
