InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Central Bureau of Statistic (CBS) in July 2023 report that was released in the midst of August (16/8) mentioned that July 2023 exports reached US$ 20,88 billion in total. The numbers decreased 1,36 percent compared to June 2023 exports. But year on year (YoY) or to July 2022, the exports decreased 18,03 percent.
But in the second quarter 2023 performance, the economy increased 5,17 percent nationally. The exports were helped by non-oil and gas that in July 2023, they reached US$ 19,65 billion, increased 1,62 percent compared to the previous month.
Non-oil and gas exports from Indonesia were from agriculture, forestry, and fishery sectors that decreased 3,40 percent. Mining exports also decreased up to 13,78 percent.
Non-oil and gas exports from industries decreased in January to July 2023 that reached 10,02 percent compared to the same period in the previous year. But compared to the previous month, the exports increased up to 0,62 percent or from 15,23 percent in June to be 15,85 percent in July 2023.
Crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivative exports contributed up to 11,59 percent. July 2023 exports compared to June 2023 exports decreased 1,51 percent. YoY they also decreased up to 19,25 percent.
CPO and its derivative values in July 2023 reached US$ 2,28 billion. Compared to the previous month, they decreased US$ 0,03 billion or US$ 2,31 billion.
Compared to the previous year or in July 2022, July 2023 exports decreased US$ 0,54 billion or US$ 2,82 billion.
