CPO Reference Price Got Better: CPO OF and Levy on 16 – 31 March 2023 Are US$ 169/ton

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) reference price to decide out fee (OF) at Public Service Obligation of Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency or known as levy on 16 – 31 March 2023 are US$ 911,41/metric ton (MT).

The numbers escalate US$ 21,64 or about 2,43 percent from the previous period (1 –15 March 2023) which was only US$ 889,77/MT. It is written on the Decision of Minister of Trade Number 863 / 2023 about Crude Palm Oil Reference Price that is charged on Out Fee and Service Tariff on Public Service Obligation Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) on 16 – 31 March 2023.

General Director of Foreign Trade Ministry of Trade, Budi Santoso said that CPO reference price gets increasing and beyond the threshold which is USD 680/MT.  “That is why referring to the nowadays regulation of minister of finance (RMF), the government decided that CPO OF is USD 74/MT and CPO levy is 95/MT on 16–31 March 2023,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday (17/3/2023).

CPO OF on 16 – 31 March 2023 refers to Colom Number 6, Attachment Letter C, RMF Number 123/PMK.010/2022 which is US$ 74/MT. CPO levy on 16 – 31 March 2023 refers to Attachment Letter C RMF Number 154/PMK.05/2022 which is US$ 95/MT. The numbers of CPO OF and levy remain the same with CPO OF and levy on 1–15 March 2023. It means, the total would be US$ 169/MT.

Budi Santoso also mentioned, the increasing CPO reference price happened for some factors, such as, the increasing demand globally as same as manufacturer industries in China get more active, the decreasing supply in the globe because of the implementation of biodiesel program from B30 to be B35, highly intensive rain. “And the preparation heading to fasting and lebaran days in Indonesia and Malaysia,” Budi said.
