InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) reference price to decide out fee (OF) and tariff in Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) or known as levy on 1–15 March 2023 are US$ 889,77/metric ton (MT).
The numbers increase US$ 9,74 or 1,11% from the previous CPO reference price on 16–28 February 2023. It is written on Decision of Minister of Trade Number 542 / 2023 about CPO Reference Price that is charged by out fee and tariff of Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency.
Besides, palm cooking oil (refined, bleached, and deodorized/RBD palm olein) in branded packages and packaged with net weigh ≤ 25 kg would be charged OF US$ 0/MT with the brands as registered in the Decision of Minister of Trade Number 543 / 2023 about the Brand Lists of Refined, Bleached, And Deodorized (RBD) Palm Olein in Branded Package and Packaged within Net Weigh ≤ 25 kg.
“CPO reference price increases and beyond the threshold US$ 680/MT. Referring to the Regulation of Minister of Finance (RMF), the government decided CPO OF would be US$ 74/MT and CPO levy would be US$ 95/MT on 1—15 March 2023,” General Director of Foreign Trade, Budi Santoso said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Wednesday (1/3/2023)
He also mentioned, CPO OF on 1 - 15 March 2023 refers to Colom Number 6 Attachment Letter C RMF Number 123/PMK.010/2022 which is US$ 74/MT. meanwhile CPO Levy on 1--15 March 2023 refers to Attachment Letter C RMF Number 154/PMK.05/2022 which is US$ 95/MT.
Budi said, the increasing CPO reference price happened for some factors, such as, the decreasing supply in the world because of the substitution of biodiesel mandatory policy in Indonesia, from B30 to be B35, the crisis in Argentine as one palm oil producer in the world. “Besides other vegetable oils get more expensive namely soyoil, and the better Ringgit currency towards US dollar,” Budi said.
