CPO Export Tax in Malaysia Remains 8 Percent in February

InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB), last Thursday mentioned that the Government of Malaysia decided to maintain crude palm oil (CPO) export tax, 8% and escalated reference price to be RM 3,893.25 (US$ 917.14) per ton in February 2023. Prior, in January 2023 the reference price was RM 3.889,52 per ton.

Meanwhile export tax or Out Fee (OF) of CPO in Indonesia on 16 − 31 December 2022, referring to Colom Number 5 Attachment Letter C Regulation of Minister of Finance Number 123/PMK.010/2022 was US$ 52 per ton.

“CPO refence price escalate and more than the threshold which is US$ 680/ton. That is why the government decided CPO OF is US$ 52/metric ton (MT) on 16 – 31 December 2022,” General Director of Foreign Trade, Budi Santoso said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT in the midst of January 2023.
