InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Crude palm oil (CPO) reference price to decide Out Fee (OF) and levy on Public Service Obligation Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) on 1 – 15 January 2023 are US$ 858,96/metric ton (MT). The numbers get cheaper US$ 13,03 or 1,49 percent than those on 16 – 31 December 2022, which was US$ 871,99/MT.
It is written on the Decision of Minister of Trade Number 1598 / 2022 about Crude Palm Oil Reference Price that is Charged Out Fee and levy on Public Service Obligation Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA)
Besides, palm cooking oil (refined, bleached, and deodorized/RBD Palm Olein) in branded packages within net weight ≤ 25 kg is in charged: OF US$ 0/MT within decided brands registered in the Decision of Minister of Trade Number 1599 / 2022 about the Brand Lists of RBD Palm Olein in branded packaged and packaged within net weight ≤ 25 kg.
“Now CPO refence price gets cheaper and it is almost the same with threshold which is US$ 680/MT. That is why referring to the Regulation of Minister of Finance which is available until now, the government decided that CPO OF is US$ 52/MT and CPO levy is US$ 90/MT on 1 — 15 January 2023,” General Director of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade, Budi Santoso said, , as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday (30/12/2022).
CPO OF on 1 — 15 January 2023 refers to Colom Number 5, Attachment C, Regulation of Minister of Finance Number 123/PMK.010/2022 which is US$ 52/MT. While CPO levy on 1 – 15 January 2023 refers to Attachment C, Regulation of Minister of Finance Number 154/PMK.05/2022 which is US$ 90/MT. It means the total OF and CPO levy is US$ 142/ton.
“The decreasing CPO reference price happens for some factors, such as, the decreasing supply because of rainy season, the decreasing rupiah toward US dollar, the increasing demands of vegetable oils namely the competitor of CPO which is soyoil,” Budi Santoso said. (T2)
