InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – Prior, PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) V got Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) certificates for some palm oil mills. Now two palm oil mills and main plantations of the company have got the same certificate published by international independent certification board, TUV Rheinland.
Chief Executive Officer PT Perkebunan Nusantara V, Jatmiko Santosa said, the two first certificates were for the mill and main plantation - Sei Galuh in District of Kampar; and the mill and main plantation - Sei Buatan in District of Siak, Riau Province.
“Alhamdulillah, PTPN V got two new additional RSPO certificates for the mills and main plantations - Kebun Sei Galuh and Sei Buatan,” Jatmiko said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Monday (12/9/2022). It means the company now has had 12 RSPO certificates.
“RSPO certificate means the evidence that PTPN V keeps being committed as CPO producer that implements sustainable business concept in Riau,” he said.
The 12 RSPO certificates consist of 11 for palm oil mills and 1 for main mill or palm kernel mill (PKO) mill. This year, the company recently got award as the best government’s company in Indonesia, as InfoBank Research Bureau researched that targeted 12 mills and one PKO mill of the Enterprises got RSPO certificate.
He continued the certificates would trigger every person in the company to keep implementing the transformation program and sustainable business for the next years.
“This year, we are committed and target that every mill and PKO mill of PTPN V would get RSPO certificate as our mills get Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) certificates,” Jatmiko said. (T2)
