InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Prior the Government of Indonesia and Malaysia came to a conclusion to get the more members in Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries (CPOPC) and improve work mechanism to be more structured as regulated in the Charter of the Establishment of CPOPC.
As in the official statement that InfoSAWIT got, Wednesday (7/9/2022), the Government of Indonesia and Malaysia decided to substitute some of Charter of the Establishment by signing the Protocol to Amend the Charter of the Establishment of the CPOPC on 4 December 2021 in Jakarta
As the follow up to conduct the protocol, President Joko Widodo published the President’s Regulation (PR) Number 107 / 2022 about the Ratification of Protocol to Amend the Charter of the Establishment of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries on 31 August 2022.
PR 107/2022 was completed by the copy of original script of Protocol to Amend the Charter of the Establishment of the CPOPC in English and its translation in Indonesia as unseparated parts.
By the publication of PR 107/2022, it is hoped that CPOPC would be having more members and the work mechanism could go on in better structures to manage and deal with palm oil commodity.
The Government of Indonesia did sign Charter of the Establishment of the Council of Palm Oil Producing Countries/CPOPC on 21 November 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. (T2)
