InfoSAWIT, JAKARAT - Head of Plantation Agency Riau Province, Zulfadli said, in this year, his side targeted some things to improve palm oil plantation governance to be better based on RAD KSB, such as, to have data of crude palm oil (CPO) production in 2021.
His side would publish Cultivation Document for 1.600 smallholders, solve data of permit about Stranas-PK or complication, location permit integration, plantation business permit in Riau Province.
“We would map the smallholders’ plantations out of forest region, arrange Rencana Aksi Daerah Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan (RAD KSB) in district/city in Riau Province, get regional technical team, and also encourage to implement replanting program in 2022,” he said, as in the official written statement to InfoSAWIT.
Zulfadli also said, the provincial government would realize the infrastructure development in plantation, execute human resource training for the government’s officers and smallholders.
“We would solve agrarian conflicts, encourage to multiply plantation companies and planters to get ISPO certificate,” he said.
According to Plantation Agency Riau Province, palm oil plantations in Bumi Lancang Kuning based on Decision of Minister of Agriculture Number 833/KPTS/SR.020/M/12/2019 laid about 3.387.206 hectares or 20,08 % of 16.381.959 hectares of palm oil plantations in Indonesia. Riau has the widest one.
The companies that have license in the province in 2022 cover 388 companies; they are divided by: plantation companies only cover 140 units, mill companies integrated with plantations cover 124 units; and companies having no mills cover 124 units. “Total mill capacity reached 12.110 tons of fresh fruit bunch (FFB)/hour and they are in 11 district/city,” Zulfadli said.
