InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Palm oil plantations laid about 16,38 million hectares. But it does not mean, they developed by themselves. In fact, palm oil plantation development is supported by reliable human resources.

They could develop the plantations in unusual natural condition, such as, hilly, in peat or sandy ones. It means, if there is not much reliable knowledge and science, there are many things to face.

Human resources are the central issues in palm oil plantations. As a matter of fact, it spent much to get reliable human resources in palm oil plantations and the cost are below fertilizer need cost. It is clear, human resource development in palm oil plantations cannot be ignore, namely for the developing way of thinking and work of millennial generations until the Gen Z nowadays.

Luckily to complete information needed to be the reliable human resources in palm oil plantations (planter), Maruli Pardamean, one active author in palm oil plantation sector wrote his new book, “Best Planter Practice, Kelapa Sawit”.

The 318 page – book describes the comprehensive information about how to be reliable planter to face any field obstacle. Wrapped in easy – digested writing for the readers, the book is collection of writing about palm oil plantation human resources which were published by InfoSAWIT in 2013 - 2019, and based on the author’s experiences and observation in three decades working at, dealing with many palm oil companies.
