PT Tunas Sawa Erma Did Campaign about Conserving Environment

InfoSAWIT, BOVEN DIGOEL – As one palm oil plantation company in Papua Province, PT Tunas Sawa Erma (PT. TSE) has its commitment to implement sustainable palm oil governance and keeps innovating to prioritize social and environmental responsibility.

TSE in the social and environmental responsibility realized by making campaign about conserving environment on Monday (29/8/2022). It involved the workers in the company and local people of Kampung Ujung Kia, Distrik Ki, District of Boven Digoel, Papua Province.

Deputy General Manager PT. Tunas Sawa Erma, Andi Budi Darmanto said, this is the same responsibility for everyone to conserve flora, fauna, and nature. This is also about to conserve the endemic flora and fauna not to extinct concerning that there are few animals which the population gets decreasing in numbers. “What we do to conserve the nature where we live at is the realization of concern to the future generations,” Andi Budi said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT recently.

The campaign ran creatively and interesting by educating the people, showing the endemic animals in Papua which the population gets decreasing. The company and the local people put warning signs to protect the nature, flora and fauna in the conservation zones.

The local people are happy with the style of communication that the company delivered. Showing the protected and endemic animals is easy for them to differentiate which animals to be hunted or not. They also get more understanding about the significance of environmental conservation. As the result, not only the adult understands, but the children enjoyed listening to what the company delivered.

“The environmental campaign made us more understandable as the people to maintain and conserve the nature, flora and fauna,” Klemes Ibo who is the Chairman of the Yore and the representative of the local people, said. (T2)
