The Next Borneo Forum Would be in North Kalimantan to Discuss Nowadays Palm Oil Issues

InfoSAWIT, PALANGKARAYA – In fact, Borneo Forum would keep going until next year according to the situation, condition, and the latest issue in palm oil commodity both in local, regional, national, and even international scale.

President of Borneo Forum, Muhammadsjah Djafar said, next year, the host of the 6th Borneo Forum would be in North Kalimantan or in 2023 and would discuss the nowadays issues in palm oil.

He who is also as the Chairman of Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) East Kalimantan thought, as the leading sector forum his side would always coordinate with plantation agency that is in charge in plantation sector and other related instances, and even with Coordinator Ministry in Economy.

“Just like this year, we just discussed about smallholders replanting program, the price of fresh fruit bunch (FFB) and other significant issues in the 5th Borneo Forum,” he said after accompanying Governor of East Kalimantan, Isran Noor in the 5th Borneo Forum 2022 at Ballroom Kahayan Swiss Belhotel Danum Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan, as InfoSAWT quoted from the official page of Plantation Agency East Kalimantan Province.

It is admitted that the FFB quality in the province and Indonesia is good enough though its price is in fluctuation still, but still promising. Crude palm oil (CPO) is expensive enough within the high demands from abroad.

Besides, CPO production particularly in East Kalimantan could be reaching up to 4 tons per year and exported to many countries, such as, Pakistan, India and other European countries.

"By this forum as the stakeholders we would deny and block every issue by getting the best solution, increasing the production and productivity, and quality of our production,” he said. (T2)
