West Kalimantan Province Supports Profit Sharing from Palm Oil to Develop the Regions

InfoSAWIT, PALANGKARAYA – Head of Plantation and Livestock Agency West Kalimantan Province, Muhammad Munsif attended the fifth Borneo Forum to represent the Governor of West Kalimantan. The forum was held by Indonesian Palm Oil Association (IPOA) West Kalimantan in Palangkaraya and officially inaugurated by the Governor of West Kalimantan, H. Sugianto Sabran on Wednesday (24/8/2022).

In a talkshow, every speaker including Munsif agreed to get the same aspiration about Natural Resource Profit Sharing which should be more significant to palm oil producer regions.

Palm Oil Profit Sharing is included in the derivative regulation of Regulation Number 1 about Hubungan Keuangan antara Pemerintah Pusat dan Pemerintah Daerah (HKPD) to support the fiscal in the regions by proposing the formula of Palm Oil Profit Sharing to get additional budget significantly to fund the infrastructures, escalating indeks pembangunan manusia, indeks desa membangun, and to handle the stunting cases.

“It would also develop mini mills, crude palm oil downstream industries, empower and develop independent smallholders to implement sustainable palm oil practices as the follow up of President’s Instruction Number 6 / 2019 about Rencana Aksi Nasional Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan (RAN KSB) and Governor’s Regulation Number 3 / 2022 about Rencana Aksi Daerah Kelapa Sawit Berkelanjutan (RAD KSB) in West Kalimantan Province,” Munsif said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of the agency, Saturday (27/8/2022).
