InfoSAWIT, PEKANBARU – To deliver the qualified electricity, PT PLN (Persero) is ready to supply it to PT Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) V about 9,3 megawatt (MW). The cooperation is the synergy between Enterprises to non-activate Captive Power belonging to PTPN V.
Director of Business Region Sumatera Kalimantan PT PLN, Adi Lumakso confirmed that PT PLN would supply for two mills of PTPN V within reliable supply. The cooperation, Adi continued, could become the win-win solution for the two Enterprises. PTPN V could save the operational costs while the electricity supply from PT PLN could escalate in PTPN V by consuming from PT PLN.
Adi also mentioned, by having electricity from PT PLN, PTPN V would get industrial tariff which is Rp 1.090,78 per kilo Watt hour (kWh). “One (1) kWh electricity equals to 0,2845 liter fuel or Rp 6.372 per kWh with the industrial fuel about Rp 22.400 per liter. It means, from the price of electricity, it would be more efficient and from the maintenance,” Adi said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Saturday (28/8/2022).
The power of electricity in Riau Province reaches 1.153 MW with the backup about 192 MW. “The electricity is enough and PT PLN is ready to fulfill industrial progress in Riau,” Adi said.
Director of PTPN V, Jatmiko K Santosa said, this is the synergy between Enterprises to minimize the operational costs. Jatmiko also explained, for the two mills substitute to use electricity (power) from PT PLN, PTPN V could be more efficient up to Rp 14,5 billion per year.
He also mentioned, the company would allocate the power from PT PLN to the mills in Sei Buatan in District of Siak and Tanah Putih in District of Rokan Hilir. The cooperation would continue by the plan of PTPN V to make 100 percent connectivity of electricity from PT PLN.
“In 2023 we also plan to multiply the electricity connectivity from PT PLN in 57 locations within 49 plot housings, 2 emplacement housings, and 5 mill housings. In the same year, electricity connectivity from PT PLN would be for 10 mills,” Jatmiko said. (T2).
