The Smallholders: FFB Price Is Not Significantly Better and Needs to Restructure Levy, Out Fee, and DMO (FO)

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – According to what smallholders monitored to fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price by the late week in the realization of the Regulation of Minister of Trade Number 115 / 2022 on Wednesday (31/8/2022), it is in fluctuation still for the plasma smallholders or about Rp 1.300/kg to Rp 2.200/kg, but the independent smallholders’ FFB is only Rp. 1.090/kg namely in Bengkulu Province Bengkulu.

Chairman of Persatuan Organisasi Petani Sawit Indonesia (POPSI), Pahala Sibuea thought, what the government did in the past 1,5 months does not significantly deliver the better FFB price.

“It happens for the issues to export though many consumer countries want to get CPO (from Indonesia), and the implementation of domestic market obligation (DMO), Flush Out (FO) which postponed the exports,” he said to InfoSAWIT, recently.

Sibuea hoped, export levy, Out Fee, DMO (FO) should be restructured to make smallholders’ FFB price better again. This is contradiction to the information that informed, many palm oil plantation companies got increasing profits. “They got significant profits in the first semester of 2022 and the numbers are up to billions of rupiah, while the smallholders got very much loss,” he said.

He hoped, by the four restructures, smallholders’ FFB could be about Rp 2.500/kg to Rp 3.000/kg. “It needs to supervise crude palm oil (CPO) tender at KPBN,” he ended. (T2)
