1.200 Tons of ‘Minyakita’ Were Officially Distributed to Eastern Indonesia

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan emphasized, palm cooking oil with the brand ‘Minyakita’ reach 1.200 tons or equal to 1,32 million liters in the first distribution to eastern Indonesia. This is about to maintain the available supply and price stability in many regions in this country.

Minister Zulkifli told that when releasing 40 containers or 700 tons of ‘Minyakita’ at Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta Utara to Papua and Nusa Tenggara Timur by sea transportation, Thursday (11/8). Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi did attend too.

The 40 containers would be allocated in Kupang reaching 21 containers or 351,5 tons; Timika 6 containers or 100,5 tons; and Merauke reaching 13 containers or 217,7 tons; including what PT Bina Karya Prima (BKP) distributed before to West Papua reaching 271 tons (301.000 liters), and Papua 245 tons (272.000 liters).

"The plan is about to distribute the same from Tanjung Perak Port to Ambon, Ternate, Sorong, Manokwari, and Jayapura," Minister Zulkifli said, Hasan as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT.

He continued this is also about to accelerate palm cooking oil distribution in eastern Indonesia. based on the data at price monitoring system in the regions, palm cooking oil distribution in eastern Indonesia is low enough, such as in Maluku, Maluku Utara, Papua, West Papua Barat, and Nusa Tenggara.

"That is why Ministry of Trade accelerate the distribution of ‘Minyakita’ to such regions by advantaging Gerai Maritim program which is in synergy with Program Tol Laut ke Wilayah Tertinggal, Terpencil, Terluar, dan Perbatasan (3TP),” he said. (T2)
