InfoSAWIT, PALEMBANG – To get accurate data and supervise palm oil plantation sector, District of Musi Banyuasin (Muba), South Sumatera Province gets digital application called “SIAPPBUN”.

Regent in duty of Muba, Apriyadi said, SIAPPBUN (Sistem Aplikasi Pelaporan Pelaku Usaha Perkebunan) could become the solution for the government to supervise palm oil plantation companies.

The application would ease the stakeholders in plantation to make report to the district. This would be the realization of the Regulation of Minister of Agriculture Number 5 / 2018. “The application would force the plantation stakeholders in Muba to be discipline,” Apriyadi said, as quoted from Antara.

He also mentioned, by SIAPPBUN, the government could get data in plantation sectors fast because it does not need to meet in person. SIAPPBUN is the breakthrough to solve the issues in palm oil plantations fast and in a whole.

Until now there have been about 54 big scale plantation business permits which some of them never reported their work to the local government. “If they reported, we would come by together with forum komunikasi pemerintah daerah to monitor and make sure the validation of their report in the SIAPPBUN," he said.

According to data released by the district, the smallholders’ plantations laid about 141.192 hectares; the companies’ laid about 302.279 hectares. The local government  is about to make smallholders fresh fruit bunch more expensive because it is now about Rp 900 per Kg. (T2)
