4 Years: SPR in West Kalimantan Laid about 16,8 Thousand Hectares and Rp 400 Billion

InfoSAWIT, PONTIANAK – In the socialization of 2022 Smallholders Replanting Program for the Planters 2022 in Pontianak, Plantation and Livestock Agency West Kalimantan Province revealed that the program laid about 16,8 thousand hectares or equal to spend about Rp 400 billion.

"For four years SRP running through Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA), the realization laid about 16,8 thousand hectares," Head of Plantation and Livestock Agency West Kalimantan Province, M. Munsif said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of the agency.

Munsif also mentioned, to maximize SRP result, it needs synergy among the central, provincial, and district governments that many smallholders use the fund from PFMA.

“SRP is a gift from the country to the planters. That is why the planters should take it maximally in many regions. It is too bad if the smallholders would not take to advantage Rp 30 million per hectare to get SRP,” he said.

SRP targets the smallholders’ palm oil plantations which the technical age is more than 25 years because the productivity is less than 10 tons per hectare per year. Munsif continued, SRP fund is for the smallholders who planted illegal or uncertified seeds.

“Besides the technical condition in SRP, there are other conditions that the planters should be fulfilling. They should enjoy the fund in this province to escalate their plantation productivity and would make them better,” he said. (T2)
