AKPSI: 3 Significant Points to Develop Palm Oil

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – In the recent days, Asosiasi Kabupaten Penghasil Sawit Indonesia (AKPSI) did its first meeting in Jakarta on Saturday (17/7/2022). There were some ministers attend the meeting about palm oil sectors.

Regent of Kutai Timur (Kutim), Ardiansyah Sulaiman said, in the first meeting of AKPSI, there were thirteen points to recommended but of the numbers, there were three significant points to focus.

Ardiansyah who is also the Treasurer in AKPSI told, the first is, urged the central government to normalize fresh fruit bunch (FFB) price at least for the next two weeks. “By improving crude palm oil (CPO) export governance by noticing the interests of planters, companies, and the government,” he said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from the official page of Kutim district.

The second, AKPSI fully supports what the government is doing in auditing downstream sectors by Badan Pengawas Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP) by involving many districts where palm oil grows in the audit process.

The third, urge Minister of Environment and Forestry to deliver copy of legalized notary about what the companies’ statement about people’s palm oil plantation development reaching 20% from the forest release to be planted into palm oil plantations. “And the copy of decision about forest release permit to each regent where palm oil plantations develop to accelerate the plasma development realization,” he said.
