Pandjaitan: Palm Oil Policy Could Influence the Outcome in the Domestic and International

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – According to Coordinator Ministry in Maritime and Investment, palm oil export realization started to escalate as same as the logistic improvement ran. Export allocation provided could be high enough while export allocation which are not realized could be more than 3 million tons.

But Coordinator Minister in Maritime and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan mentioned, it is not different from other countries, Indonesia faces the tough economic challenges.

“The dynamic happens so fact within high uncertainty, including in palm cooking oil issues,” he said in Orientasi Pembangunan Desa Berkelanjutan that Asosiasi Pemerintah Desa Seluruh Indonesia (APDESI) and Asosiasi Kabupaten Penghasil Sawit Indonesia (AKPSI) did on Saturday (16/7/2022) in Jakarta.

Pandjaitan emphasized, though palm cooking oil price is influenced by the condition in the globe, the government has its instrument of policy to influence the outcome in the domestic and in international. “Every stakeholder needs to comprehensively work and in integration,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Saturday (16/7/2022).

Palm oil industries, he continued, are the strategic ones because more than 16,4 million men live and work at the industries, the biggest export providers as well. That is why the running improvement could be the important thing to optimize the roles of palm oil to increase the people’s welfare and develop the economy nationally.

He also emphasized multi-side cooperation would be important part to improve palm oil governance in the future. The central, regional governments, industries, and the people should cooperate to improve every issue. (T2)
