Export Values from Indonesia Increased from The Increasing 862% Palm Oil Export

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – According to Central Bureau of Statistic (CBS), the export values from Indonesia in June 2022 reached US$ 26,09 billion or increased about 40,68% compared to 2021 in the same period. Compared to the previous month, the exports increased about 21,30%.

Head of CBS, Margo Yuwono said, the increasing exports were helped by non-oil and gas, and oil and gas sectors that reached 41,80% and 23,68%.

He said, oil and gas exports in June 2022 reached US$ 1,53 billion or increased 2,45% compared to May 2022 and non – oil and gas export reached US$ 24,56 billion or increased 22,71 compared to the previous month.

Margo thought, the increasing non – oil and gas export in June 2022 might be helped by the increasing fat and vegetable oil exports (HS 15) which palm oil and its derivative were include and increasing 366% compared to the previous month; than the vehicle and spare-parts (HS 87) which increased 40,11 percent month to month (m o m).

“The increasing fat and vegetable oils exports were helped by palm oil after the government re-opened the exports which were banned in May for three weeks,” he said in the press conference in Jakarta, Friday (15/7/2022).

Palm oil exports increased 862,66% to be US$ 274 billion. It happened for the cheap crude palm oil (CPO) last month which reached 12,57% compared to the previous month but still increased 49,45% compared to June 2021. (T2)
