InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA — The government now implements Minyak Goreng Kemasan Rakyat (MGKR) program with the brand, MINYAKITA. It involves many stakeholders. The program runs based on Regulation of Minister of Trade (RMT) Number 41 / 2022 about Packaged Palm Cooking Oil Governance for the People which started on 8 July 2022.
Minister of Trade, Zulkifli Hasan thought, MGKR with the brand MINYAKITA is to deliver alternative (choice) for the stakeholders (sellers) to distribute palm cooking oil to fulfill the needs in domestic market obligation (DMO). He also told, MINYAKITA as part of DMO program should be sold at the highest retail price (FRP) at Rp 14 thousand per liter, or the same with HRP of bulk palm cooking oil.
“MINYAKITA in MGKR would deliver choice for the stakeholders to distribute palm cooking oil from DMO. It should be sold at Rp 14 thousand per liter,” he said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Tuesday (12/7/2022).
RMT Number 41 / 2022 regulated the selling price at HRP, the distribution spots, the package, the permits, the standard, the incentive of multiplier factor for the stakeholders that provided MINYAKITA.
“We hoped, there would be more stakeholders to join MGKR, distribute it, and would be faster for the people to buy and eventually it would increase CPO export volume,” he said.
He also mentioned, MINYAKITA can be distributed in many traditional markets, modern retails, and marketplaces. MGKR with the brand MINYAKITA is packed in 1 liter, 2 liters, and five liters. MINYAKITA lists the information of HRP.
MINYAKITA can be sold in the form of pillow pack, standing pouch, bottle, and food grade – jerry can. MGKR should qualify the distribution permit and Indonesian National Standard.
Besides the stakeholders that distribute MGKR would get incentive, such as, multiplier factor of packaging and regional multiplier in DMO scheme. The multiplier factor would be regulated in the regulation of general director of domestic trade. (T2)
