Indonesian Legislators: Out Fee and Levy Should Temporarily Stop to Get More Expensive FFB

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – The cheaper fresh fruit bunch (FFB hits the people’s economy deeper namely for those who depend on palm oil commodity. Some independent smallholders that join in Serikat Petani Kelapa Sawit (SPKS) from some regions in Indonesia, such as, Sumatera and Kalimantan had the chance to meet Commission IV Indonesian Legislators, Bambang Purwanto.

They complained about the cheap FFB which always happens every day though crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivative products export re-opened again after being stopped in May 2022.

Knowing their complaints, Bambang who represented Commission IV told that Indonesian Legislators encouraged the government to stop CPO levy and Out Fee.

This is the same with what SPKS studied that the smallholders’ cheap FFB happens for the expensive levy that Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) managed.

“Hopefully what the smallholders struggle for would deliver the good results and be useful for them,” Chairman of SPKS Rokan Hulu, Yusro Fadly said, as InfoSAWIT quoted from his facebook, Wednesday (6/7/202). (T2)
