InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Heading to Hari Raya Kurban in this year, palm oil and agribusiness company, Wilmar distributed 148 sacrificial animals, such as, 43 cows, and 105 goats. The helps would be distributed to the people around the company’s operational, such as, Pelintung (Riau), Padang, Palembang, Bengkulu, Kuala Tanjung (North Sumatera), Pontianak, Pulo Gadung, Cikarang, Serang, Kumai dan Bagendang (Central Kalimantan), Ngawi, Gresik, Balikpapan, Bangko (Jambi), Batam, Maleo, Luwuk (Central Sulawesi), Bitung, Banjarmasin, and Mojokerto.
Human Capital Head Wilmar, Erlina Panitri said, the distribution of the sacrificial animals is the annual program as the participation of the company to the people. Different from the previous years, the helps would not directly be handed over by the company but would be distributed by the villages, mosques, non-government organizations, orphans, figures, and people’s community. “We want to involve the people,” Erlina said, as in the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Sunday (3/7/2022).
The company got the spirit of Hari Raya Kurban this year, which is, caring about the society. This is not done in the moment of religious days but in daily life. The people around the company’s operational are some of main stakeholders. It needs to maintain the good relationship. “We are inspired to implement it that in our operational, the people get the advantages,” she said.
Erlina continued, the company prepared some programs to empower the people as part of escalating their welfare around the company’s operational. It is hoped to help them, to increase their independency namely in the economy. (T2)
