The First Audit Should be Preventive Not Always Put in Jail

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Together with the Attorney, Badan Pengawasan Keuangan dan Pembangunan (BPKP) established Tim Gabungan Audit Tata Kelola Industri Kelapa Sawit on Monday (27/6/202).

The supervision on palm oil industrial governance is about to cover the upstream sector (plantations), the production and distribution of crude palm oil (CPO) and its derivative products, domestic market obligation (DMO) and domestic price obligation (DPO) implementation, export permit establishment and monitoring system reliability.

Chief of the Attorney, ST Burhanuddin said, the collaborative monitoring is about to deliver discipline and prioritize prevention.

“For now we would prevent within one note, they (the stakeholders) should deal with the return, when to pay, and everything depends on the officials in BPKP,” he said

He continued that there would be chance to be in synergy with General Directorate of Customs to make sure CPO export data.

Just like what Chief of the Attorney said, Junior General Attorney for Special Crimes, Febrie Adriansyah said, besides being the trigger and stimulus, the team should be able to prevent, save, and recover the financial loss or economic in this country.

“The goal of prevention is not always to put the actors in jail but deliver the advantages for the revenue,” he said.

The revenue from the export activity in Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA), he continued, it needs to confirm the fund distribution right on targets, adjustable with the available regulation, and the goals of distribution. “If there is fraud which delivered loss for the finance, or the loss of economy, there would be special audit,” he said.
