Palm Oil Producer Association Met Luhut: Delivered Questions

InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA - 152 regents from many districts where palm oil plantations develop came to a conclusion to establish Asosiasi Kabupaten Penghasil Kelapa Sawit Indonesia (APKPSI). The first thing to do is to meet Coordinator Minister in Maritime and Investment, Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan.

From the official statement to InfoSAWIT, Friday (17/6/2022); some coordinators of APKPSI met Pandjaitan in his office in Jakarta, Tuesday (14/6/2022).

In the meeting, the coordinators of APKPSI proposed some questions, such as, Minister Pandjaitan could be the Advisory Board of APKPSI and the central government should pay attention to the districts where palm oil plantations grow.

APKPSI also asked for the government to improve the regulation about palm oil plantation governance nationally and palm oil as the strategic commodity would be maximal to be the source of exchange for the country.

Besides improving the regulation, APKPSI is convinced, palm oil plantations would have better advantages to the development and be positive to increase the people’s welfare in the districts.
