InfoSAWITt, JAKARTA – The Government of Indonesia came to a conclusion to adjust crude palm oil (CPO) export citation that Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency (PFMA) manages, to be maximally US$ 200/ton, the highest discount price. Prior it was US$ 375/ton.
The plan was told by Deputy Coordinator Ministry in Food and Agribusiness Coordination, Musdhalifah Machmud in a virtual press conference that InfoSAWIT joined, Sunday (5/6/2022).
Meanwhile Minister of Trade, Muhammad Lutfi after meeting with Commission IV Indonesian Legislators mentioned, the most expensive Export Tax in PFMA would be US$ 200/ton.
Minister Lutfi said, CPO Out Fee (OF) would be increasing the highest to be US$ 288/ton which was US$ 200/ton. If the total from CPO Export Citation and OF, it would be US$ 488/ton, from US$ 575/ton. “This is the decision. CPO citation and out fee gets cheaper,” he said, as quoted from CNN, Tuesday (7/6/2022).
It is hoped, besides making the citation cheaper, it would boost CPO exports because many CPO producers got abundant CPO stocks and made smallholders’ fresh fruit bunch cheaper. (T2)
